Banksy Jack + Jill, will pay market value, by lrworld on Jul 4, 2007 7:27:59 GMT 1, Please PM me. I am willing to pay the market value for this print. Been looking for a while now. I need to make sure you have provenance and a perfect print. Unsigned is more appealing to me, but I might be able to afford a signed one.

Banksy Jack + Jill, will pay market value, by pw on Jul 4, 2007 10:29:35 GMT 1, theres not many signed prints on ebay these days except the rat prints and they were always the cheapest. I would say you'd be lucky to get the signed J&J for less than £6k

Banksy Jack + Jill, will pay market value, by corblimeylimey on Jul 4, 2007 10:45:27 GMT 1, The last J&J to sell on ebay went for slightly under £1000, so I think the price you paid really wasn't bad considering it came from a dealer, inc VAT, mint etc, also bearing in mind the next unsigned J&J to come on to ebay will probably go for over £1000.

That was a strange auction. Unsigned Jack and Jill (320124798151) closed at £983 on June 18... then the guy sold it to another buyer on a second chance for £803 (320131523718). When you look at the bid history in the original sale there were 4 separate bidders ahead of the guy it was sold to! Have to question the validity of the bids and if there is shilling going on, or if unknown forces are attempting to inflate market prices. Precarious market...

That is interesting, but £800 would be an absolute bargain, even Love Rat is going for that and J&J is and has been worth at least a couple of hundred more than that.
I smell rats and fish type goings on.

isn't it just as likely that it was offered to each of the other four as a second chance offer and they turned it down before he found someone who wanted it. if you were shill bidding you would hardly go to the trouble of using 4 different accounts. and no it wasn't my auction.

Banksy Jack + Jill, will pay market value, by corblimeylimey on Jul 4, 2007 11:28:39 GMT 1, I guess time will tell, but another possibility is that the seller had 2 or more prints so offered the rest as extra sales, a similar thing happened to me when I bought my Blek Le Rat Tango, the second bidder also got one for obviously less than I paid, it's quite annoying when you find that out.

Banksy Jack + Jill, will pay market value, by jam on Jul 4, 2007 11:29:09 GMT 1, Perhaps... but I find it highly unlikely that the other bidders, who only days before would have bid what they wanted to pay, all ended up turning down the second chance offer. As CBL mentioned, £800 was a cracking deal... but it was also a good price at £823, £863, £903 and even the final bid of £983. I don't see all these guys being valid bids one day and flaking out the next.

Banksy Jack + Jill, will pay market value, by dawn2006 on Jul 4, 2007 11:30:50 GMT 1, No probs Johnpud. A few weeks a go i was bidding on an unsigned JJ from a lovely guy in Newcastle. It was bought from Opus and been framed and went for £1,100 ish.I missed out cos i wasn't here at the end of the auction. i got what seemed like a second chance offer . Luckily the original owner emailed me to say that his account had been hijacked and don't respond to second chance offer. Thank God because i may have and that would have cost me alot. Reported to ebay. It really worried me that scammers can get hold of your account. Lucky the original owner was 100% and it shows that its worth having a correspondance before bidding!

Banksy Jack + Jill, will pay market value, by absyrd on Jul 4, 2007 11:42:33 GMT 1, I got offered $2750 for mine recently after someone saw it framed up in the "...for the lads" thread. I don't see you spending 2500 as a bad thing as this image is finally getting a bit more respect and becoming a bit harder to get a hold of.
My POW stamp is in the lower right hand corner and the bottom 2mm of it or so are off the page, so luckily someone in the past thought it was strange and didn't buy it at $1600.
Now I'm in the monetary position to keep it anyhow, but it is funny how things turn out like that.

Also the danger that you may think the account has been hijacked.
