Banksy - All the fun is happening somewhere else, by ABC on Apr 10, 2007 8:40:51 GMT 1, Who knows really apart from Mr B himself, however anyone could write a provenance like that.. Certain items on the bay that had raised issues about them being the genuine article turned out to be real (So some say)and sold for a song in the past. IMO, I wouldn't touch it with yours....

The only provenance i would accept would be from Laz, POW or Mr B himself.

So Capt Haddock doesn't count? He was sometimes a help to Tin Tin.

Banksy - All the fun is happening somewhere else, by hankpank on Apr 10, 2007 20:30:36 GMT 1, OK, so everyone is so sure this is a fake. And the Haddock name is really funny, heh? Well, I was seriously thinking of bidding, but because of the postage to Sweden, my lack of cash and as I'm not sure it's an original, I've decided not to.
This makes me wonder if it isn't real after all: • Page 108 in Wall & Piece. Seems about the right size
• "For Edward Hopper's bar scene, Nighthawks, Banksy has added an angry man dressed only in Union Jack shorts who has just broken the bar window with a plastic chair. The model for the man was Harvey Haddock, Banksy's "dogsbody" who will show visitors around personally. Statues include a tattooed Venus with a bollard on her head and a bust with a balaclava." www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4153/is_20051013/ai_n15713271
•As posted on Cautys Blacksmoke web. File name: "Save_the_Haddock_001.sized.jpg" Description: Save The Haddock! - Pranksy (Pranksy) Title: "You Dirty Rat!" Capture Date: Fri 14 Oct 2005 03:21:27 PM BST Description: Harvey Haddock, Banksy's 'Topdog'! Location: Banksy Exhibition-Crude Oils Westbourne Grove, London W2 14/10/05 Occupation: Hazardous
www.blacksmoke.org/gallery/project/Save_the_Haddock_001
• From Mr Eggs webbsite: "I guess you have worked it out that it was me who hit Banksy's Crude Oils Show with a rather lame imitation of his work so it would fit in.
But i didn't know they was going to be that fookin big so it stood out like a sore finger anyway, Thanks to Harry the Haddock for answering his mobile phone so I could stick it on the wall.
They even kept it up for the whole show and gave it a name tag. Well I had to hit London and what better place and time to hit it up, Thanks to the Monorex Team for the night out and painting kinda session.
Cheers Banksy & Steve for an excellent show see you soon." www.mreggs.com/site/news_index.asp
•Reply from the seller: "hi Harvey has worked for banksy on a number of things he has done photos for him and he also modelled for him on his panting nighthawk .banksy also dedicated on of the six think tanks from the site in east London to Harvey's son Orson."
Happy bidding and don't blame me if it's fake. Just don't be so sure of what you think you know.
And brush your teeth.

Just thought if the reserve was 101 then it was worth a punt. Banksy dedicated one of the six think tank pieces to Harvey's son Orson, so it's likely to be legit.. but who's to say he wrote the provenance
risky business.. but hey ho.. it's not looking like it's worth nore than a tenner, banksy or no

Mr Andipa and his hordes of Banker bonus buyers would be quite apt in a Jack the lad city boys loft.. the irony would be lost I'm sure.

Banksy - All the fun is happening somewhere else, by hankpank on Apr 10, 2007 21:35:34 GMT 1, Thanks Nu. Didn't think anyone, anywhere was watching it, so when I decided not to bid I thought I could stir things up a bit.
And some are a bit too fast to shout "FAKE" without doing a bit of homework...
