Whats the stink on this you guys?, by corblimeylimey on Apr 8, 2007 20:27:09 GMT 1, Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the early, therefore the low numbered prints, had the Banksy tag on the leg of one of the policemen.

Whats the stink on this you guys?, by tomhills1 on Apr 8, 2007 20:41:39 GMT 1, the problem with the early HND's is that they are remarkably inconsistent, even the typeset of "have a nice day" differs from some to others. the whole banksy stamp location thing i'm not sure of but again would not be surprised if they differ a little. also, even if the first 100 were signed, doesn't mean 1-100 are signed, it just means that 100 were signed. so if there were only 50 signed (and yes there were 30 a/p's) the fact number 65 was signed or unsigned could afterall be irrelavant. i would have absolutely no reason to doubt this set, the framing in every picture is of the same method, the pow receipt for JD is genuine but i can't attribute it to this seller. i would happily bid, so long as i could try before i buy. what makes me a bit suss, is that he may stand to make more money selling them individually and what seller is gonna pass up that opportunity? also, the question that is answered, it's convenient that he happens to be away when the asker is in town? not saying it's dink, just think before you bid. one or two things need addressing and further questions/photos/providence etc. before i would part with any money.

Whats the stink on this you guys?, by ABC on Apr 8, 2007 21:50:11 GMT 1, I think they were stamped in two different places, some on the leg, the others in the corner. I checked another Japanese seller out two weeks ago and the WSM print was legit, gutted as I forgot to bid and the WSM went for a steal

It could be worse. I remember John Cooper Clarkes quote 'I've got amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I can't remember what happens next' ;D ;D ;D

Whats the stink on this you guys?, by manchestermike on Apr 8, 2007 23:14:30 GMT 1, He's been trying to shift the 3 prints on ebay for a while now, with no joy - which I attribute to the Japan thing. Maybe he's thinking putting the three together would make it a very attractive preposition to someone... anyone...

Whats the stink on this you guys?, by krazy on Apr 9, 2007 4:46:14 GMT 1, Looks like a fantastic deal for that set of prints though. I'm also quite sure that it was only the first 50 of HND that were printed.

Whats the stink on this you guys?, by beejoir1 on Apr 9, 2007 5:23:27 GMT 1, I know him as a buyer and have sold a good few prints to him, he's always really pollite. I have no probs with the Micallefs, but am always paranoid about HNDs as it is!!! Also he won't let me pop around and get it even if I'm in Japan! ?Which stinks of fish!

Whats the stink on this you guys?, by krazy on Apr 9, 2007 8:08:59 GMT 1, Is he Japanese? If so, they're always very reluctant to let you into their house... no matter how well he knows you. Seems to be a cultural thing.
I like the widescreen TV in the photo reflection though .
