Possible forged posters alert!! Forum member, by cadeallaw on Feb 24, 2009 17:57:28 GMT 1, Over on Expresso Beans, a matter is being investigated involving several EB forum members who received a couple of forged prints by an EB Forum member who is also a Banksy Forum member.
The purpose of this thread is to give the members of the Banksy Forum information regarding this individual who, whether it was inadvertently or not, passed along several forged prints which seem to include some Shepard Fairey prints, Jacob Bannon prints, and even a forged Aaron Horkey original. My fear is that Banksy prints may have been forged or that members on the Banksy forum also bought prints from this member-

I have now banned that account from this forum.
Nice... thanks. Hopefully no one on this forum received any prints from this member, however there have been victims from a few different forums (not just EB) who had received bogus prints... a few of the above mentioned artists are even getting involved in this matter in an attempt to rectify this situation as well.

Yeah - I've had a run in with that tw@t!
I sold him a Neverwork piece on the bay and he dicked around for 2 weeks making excuses about not being able to pay. I finally filed an unpaid item dispute with ebay and got a load of abusive emails in return. Eventually he said he wasn't going to pay for it cos he thought it was fake - even though I had shown him pictures of the COA and receipt and was pretty much un-fakeable anyway.

Yeah, it is getting pretty crazy... It came out that this Kellum individual went to a Federal prison for a few months in the beginning of 2008 for ripping people off online on a Subaru car parts forum. Kellum is now telling people that he will 'make everything right' and is trying to cover peoples losses by offering the victims more prints... however it is alleged that these prints that he is offering as a means of restitution are forged as well- this is all being varified by the artists themselves!

I suppose it only takes one bad apple to make evryone that bit more wary about dealing with people you only ever met online. I think thats such a shame, because you'd like to think that everyone on here was straight down the line, but something like this does make you wonder! By all accounts he had everyone on EB's trust. Its a damn shame...
