(If I was spending that kind of money on a print - I wouldnt want anything else, other than cash on collection, surely its preferable for all concerned?)

it could just be a coincedence so do your homework and you should be safe if you get enough concrete evidence. trust your gut too spending that much cash.

As for the PayPal issues, it's not that bad is it? you can use your credit card through PayPal and you'd have PayPal and credit card protection, although clearly not as good as cash on collection, that would allow you to pull out of the sale if it wasn't as expected.

That Grin Reaper was indeed listed before on 3rd March this year and by the same seller as well.
I think the auction never went its course because it was around the time that someone was asking questions of sellers and placing a link in the question to a fake ebay sign in page, this then showed up on the listing at the bottom. The scammers were targeting lots of banksy litsing with the same trick.
Just to be sure it was the person asking the eller a question who was the scammer NOT the seller themselves. Still take all reasonable precautions though.
