Applause for swap, by thetongue on Nov 18, 2006 11:42:12 GMT 1, I have a UK Applause for swap.
Like I've said before, I prefer the older prints to the new set but the only way to get hold of any prints is to have some in the first place or a lot of cash!
So, before I have to go for the latter option I'm offering it up here to those who missed out.
Please PM me with anything you feel may be a fair trade.
I'm sure I'll get flamed by some, but hey look around...
Thanks,

Applause for swap, by corblimeylimey on Nov 18, 2006 14:29:32 GMT 1, You shouldn't get flamed, lot's of people on this forum (including Silky) were telling me to buy any print, even if it was one I didn't want, so I could swap it for one I did.
Good luck thetongue, and you could also make someone who wants Applause happy too.

I don't think many people would have a problem with you buying for swaps, its people who are buying them purely for resale. Although some would say they were just using their initiative. I guess its a question of wether you buy for pleasure or profit.

TrickY ?Not for me it isn't . I'd rather just see POW sell them for their market value rather than see people buying purely for resale. I really can't be doing with peoples pathetic excuses either ,why don't they just say I'm a greedy **** , full stop . At least that would be honest.

but how many people would be priced out if they were sold for market value?!?!? i for one couldnt afford to splash 1k here and there on a print and im sure alot of guys on these boards couldnt aswell.

Applause for swap, by LoveRat on Nov 18, 2006 15:53:10 GMT 1, I know that's a problem . I also wouldn't be able to afford it , but at least it would take the scalpers out of the equation . As it is they are just deliberately pushining prices up anyway. Perhaps the remaining prints should be auctioned off with a percentage of money going to a good cause i.e Big Issue , Medicine Sans Frontiers , Amnesty International, Greenpeace ,etc at least we would see money going to good use rather than lining peoples pockets.

Applause for swap, by Jonny Breaks on Nov 18, 2006 15:58:31 GMT 1, think if POW sorted their site out and made sure it was 1000% crash proof then there wouldnt be a problem....if the site had coped on thursday and the first 500 who got the print into their carts had got one then we wouldnt be having these problems....personally i think this the best and fairest method....first come first served!

I'm glad it did crash! it gave me a chance to have a go at getting one, if they had all sold smoothly i wouldnt of got a chance as i was 40ft up a tree! i managed finish work, get home and you could still try as it was so slow. i was one of the lucky ones to get one, but i wouldnt be dissing pow if i didnt, they tried it didnt work,so what.......... The people who rang/mailed pow to moan about it need to get over it! Go buy a equally good print from dolk/eine/insect to cheer yourselfs up i did after i missed the grannies( my fav of the new ones)
How about a lottery style draw, submit your details, they have a draw and the winners get notified by email? pot luck, no different than the online ordering!

Applause for swap, by tinyballs on Nov 19, 2006 23:57:27 GMT 1, TheTongue, if you are not interested in Lazydog's swap offer, I might be. I'm not saying that to steal your swap. I'm asking if you would mind if I went ahead and discussed it with him/her.

Applause for swap, by Zippy on Nov 21, 2006 0:21:01 GMT 1, I would swap a love rat or granny print for an applause. I tried all day last week to get one and only got as far as updating basket before it kept crashing. Z

Applause for swap, by thetongue on Nov 22, 2006 13:45:33 GMT 1, I've already got a love rat and don't particularly like the mary so will re-assess I think.
I really want to get something signed (not just any image for the sake of it before people say) as just think they'll hold value better if I ever needed to sell, or swap for something else in future.
May have to hang on to see if can get two to swap else just have to sell.
Good luck!
