Banksy forum or Ebay forum., by spenie1975 on Jan 14, 2009 23:24:35 GMT 1, Is this a forum for discussing art or selling art. Just have to look at the number of topics on each and make up your own mind. I for one say it's for selling. Maybe looking at the stats the flipping argument can finally be laid to rest. If you don't like the fact people sell on then stay away from this forum.

Banksy forum or Ebay forum., by bullet on Jan 14, 2009 23:36:54 GMT 1, when your involved in collecting something where people buy and sell due to the high value and is desired by everyone, your going to get lots of people buying and selling - its just how it is.
i agree, if people don't like it collect some spoons or something that no one cares about.
on the other hand i have noticed several posts in the main thread for sales which sahoria or silk should move :-)

My late mother would have you on that count. She made a lifelong collection of apostle spoons going back to the 18th century. I still have them hidden away somewhere! To the thread. It has a large membership from a broad church and all with their own reasons for being here. I think it manages itself quite well, with moderators help obviously.

Banksy forum or Ebay forum., by cottonedon on Jan 15, 2009 21:17:52 GMT 1, This is my first post on this forum so please bear with me if I've got it all wrong or posted it in the wrong section.
I have a 'Wrong war' t shirt made way back in 2002. Could anyone help me with the valuation. please find images (hopefully) and info below. Cheers and thanks for your help:
'If you were one of the 200,000 people who took part in London's anti-war march last Saturday, you may have spotted 3D from Massive Attack in the crowd donning a black Wrong War T-shirt. His T-shirt is one of a limited edition of 150 which have been co-designed by Jeff Griffin and graffiti artist Banksy. Fifty of the T-shirts have already been allocated, but 100 are now available from The Griffin Concept Store on Portobello Road W11, priced ยฃ35 with profits going to CND. If you can't get to the shop, you can order one by calling 0208 960 9607. Griffin, Banksy and CND are also joining forces to organise an evening at 93 Feet East in Brick Lane to raise awareness and funds for the anti-war effort. Scheduled for October 31, the event will feature a host of sound celebrities including 3D and Tony Benn. The full line-up and event details haven't yet been confirmed, to find out more email a request to design@griffin-studio.com.' -2002

Banksy forum or Ebay forum., by neale on Jan 15, 2009 21:48:44 GMT 1, An interesting thread, Freerange makes a good point in that the nature of high value art is that it has always been traded as the owners circumstances and tastes change. I have no problem with that , but here you do get posts asking for current values on Banksys which you get the feeling that they just want to know what to set the Ebay reserve at. But I think the main body of the forum who make regular and interesting contributions, just love art and discuss all aspects of it fairly and intelligently.. I have to add that I have loved being a member, enjoyed the banter and learnt a lot... thanks
