STOP CROSS POSTING, by gbh on Jul 6, 2007 0:48:52 GMT 1, Can everyone please stop crossposting their for sale threads across three or four forums. I see the exact same posts here, d*face, wall candy, dolk, etc. forums. Would be a good idea for any mods that see the same to prune some of these posts.

and half of the posts refer to the ebay auction for this item that anyone who's lookingon ebay will already see. Seriously Silky, need to start charging advertising rates for some of these posts as many people are using these forums pretty much as their shop front....SOLELY

I have to agree with Mike - there are plenty of members who read only one forum. If you accept the general idea that people can post the items they wish to sell, then I don't see why people should be limited to posting in one place. Providing people post the stuff in the correct threads on each forum, I couldn't really care less. While some find it annoying, others undoubtedly find it helpful.
As others have mentioned, I do find the new ebay banner advertising which appears on the site - i.e., the one that gives a top 10 of banksy items - a little intrusive. Though, doubt there's much that can be done about that. Silky?
I also think there is a more general debate about the fact that the forums have largely deteriorated into threads in some way connected with values and the buying and selling of art, rather than the art itself. Though, for me that's a separate issue.

STOP CROSS POSTING, by pezlow on Jul 6, 2007 10:23:33 GMT 1, There is definitely an argument for just having one thread dedicated to items for sale though as wall candy (tries) to do. The number of threads on here with people plugging their stuff is quite difficult to wade through sometimes.

STOP CROSS POSTING, by pezlow on Jul 6, 2007 10:25:11 GMT 1, And I would agree with Jjoschi that this board and others do seem to be more about the value of the art than the art itself. If/When the bubble in this market bursts there are going to be a lot of very disappointed people with serious debts to pay off.

STOP CROSS POSTING, by carlito on Jul 6, 2007 10:30:57 GMT 1, I tip my hat to anyone who can read more than a couple of forums each day...I can just about manage this with a dash of w / candy ..... i find it helpful ppl posting ebay details on here, and where i see dupe posts i just move on
regarding discussions on values etc ... leave ppl to it and just don't get involved in those discussions if it bothers u that much, there's a lot of ยฃยฃ flying around in the area at the mo so its bound to get ppl talking (it just depresses me quite frankly, but i understand it)

STOP CROSS POSTING, by Run Pig Run on Jul 6, 2007 12:49:00 GMT 1, I can't see why people want to stop this and stop that, ban this and ban that, censor this and censor that. why can't people just let people be ffs. If you don't want to buy a grannies print do not read a thread with the topic 'grannies print for sale' seems simple enough to me. some of the best deals are found on these forums and people should have the choice to look at them if they choose to.
