the most offencive thing ever?, by princeofdalston on Dec 13, 2008 13:40:06 GMT 1, I'm not offended by it but it isn't funny or clever IMHO this is an important aspect (I used to love Vice Magazine - their books are excellent and def picking up but in recent times they've turned into co.caine hungry money driven tw.ats - before you asked yes I have met them)

the most offencive thing ever?, by Deleted on Dec 13, 2008 13:57:35 GMT 1, why would you feel the need to make this crap, is it just a stunt? Or a shock tactic? If you want to be edgey do a cartoon of Mohamed and get it published with your home address I do think people need to get a thicker skin regarding these type of issues tho, would you buy one of these? that's a no from me

the most offencive thing ever?, by funster on Dec 13, 2008 15:40:55 GMT 1, I don't find it offensive, just absolutely pointless. I'm sure we could all create something that tries to stir emotions at the simplest level, it's just we chose not to.

the most offencive thing ever?, by alsbabar on Dec 13, 2008 16:20:03 GMT 1, i worked for a company (not at the time) that lost a lot of their staff in the 9/11 - and something that mocks that tragic horrific act where 2750 innocent people lost their lives - in my opinion - isnt art, its just sick . If it is to provoke reaction, then they will get it, thats for sure. Wonder how they would feel if the shoe was on the other foot, where something tragic happens in their lives, then someone laughs at them or it!!!

the most offencive thing ever?, by Prescription Art on Dec 13, 2008 16:29:42 GMT 1, Does this mock the casualties of the Vietnam war?
Does John Cleese goose-stepping around Fawlty Towers mock the victims of the Second World War?
I think laughter is sometimes the best way to collectively deal with the many horrors of the 20th & 21st centuries.

I think laughter is sometimes the best way to collectively deal with the many horrors of the 20th & 21st centuries. the Banksy Napalm Can't Beat The Feeling - wasnt created to mock the casualities of the vietnam war, but to mock the way corporations exploit their brands at the suffering of others.
But I do see your point, however, my opinion on 9/11 is based on more personal reasons - knowing that people at a company I used to work for, who lost their lives.

the most offencive thing ever?, by Happy Shopper on Dec 14, 2008 0:31:33 GMT 1, Just trying to be shocking, but it just comes off as a bit pathetic I think. Not big or clever. As someone else said, it's quite easy to do something like this if you just want to shock, but don't actually have anything to say on any subject. What's the message the artist wants to give? There isn't one.

the most offencive thing ever?, by achtungbono on Dec 14, 2008 10:40:32 GMT 1, Its a bit weak, but if whoever created it is happy, then thats all that matters. I dont fetish murder and violence, thats why I dont buy the sloppy, lazy AK47 encrusted photoshopped shit that gets passed as edgy art these days, I dont worship Guy Rictchie films or That parasite Tarantino
theres a great deal more offensive going on every single day across the world that places the WTC events firmly in the background- unless there was a personal involvement of course
