IDEAS required. Need to fill a gap on the wall.., by Standard on Nov 18, 2008 19:37:40 GMT 1, With a new delivery imminent we should have our walls full soon, with the exception of one. I am looking for a few ideas as I want something that is in a long/short aspect ratio. Think Weston Super Mare and you will get the idea.
It needs to be this as it's going over the telly, and unfortunately a WSM is out of the question at the moment as we can't afford a Banksy for the spot we have in mind.
So we I need something else, even a nice panoramic photograph could be the answer.
Can anyone nudge me in the right direction, even if it's not available any suggestions? As if I can't find something suitable tuther half will have me putting up shelves!

However I would rather have something interesting to look at for when she forces me to leave the mac and sit and watch some soap bollocks on the telly. ;D

Leftery - that piece just wouldn't sit well in the room, but thank you.
The NW triptych would be nice, however I have a Hush triptych that I considered putting here but it's just too high at 44cm, so wanting something narrow and long.
I was considering a commission from Shannon Crees but not for this size, and she's on the other side of the planet which isn't really suitable.

One went for below a grand recently if I'm not mistaken. I've seen others offered for around cost also, so I reckon the ยฃ1600 is too high for this moment in time. Still a grand is a fair wedge for a print, for many of us.
How about Brian Jones and Jamie Reid's collab' "Silver Trains" from S-Editions? Can't sort a direct link but easily found at s-editions.co.uk/portfolio.html. It's ยฃ550 and measures 20cm x 55cm...?
