Credit card abuse and failed relationships here, by Francis on Aug 25, 2008 23:37:13 GMT 1, Why are so many of us abusing our credit and putting more on our credit cards than we can afford, then selling said item later on to pay our bills?
Why are so many breaking up with their girlfriends and boyfriends, forcing them to sell jointly owned prints? Why go into a print owning partnership in the first place?
Why do we purchase artwork that our significant other does not allow in the home and force us to sell immediately?
These things seem to happen all too often on this board. What is the solution?

Credit card abuse and failed relationships here, by Deleted on Aug 25, 2008 23:46:36 GMT 1, Those are big questions!. The solution must come from the individual themselves i think, they must be aware of any problems these things create. Is it possible that relationships are ended because of this type of thing alone? surely not, there must be other factors involved also. I realise i am lucky not to have these issues but in the great scheme of things surely a husband/ wife or partner and financial stability etc. is more important than any piece of art?.
edit: ive just read it back and i sound like my grandad used to

I think the current crisis shows that a bit of control in spending is a good thing too. Growth funded purely by debt seems unsustainable. Folk have to earn the money they spend at some point.

for sale/artist/title/price/picture
knock the bulls|-|it on the head
i'd also like to have the option to lock a thread you've created so as to keep all dealings via PM

He couldnt be any worst. IMO this country which we all love and adore is all pushed to one thing. CREDIT. Most people buy cars on CREDIT Most people buy kitchens and tv's and quite frankly non essential items on CREDIT Evan some gallerys are offering credit (which is good as its interest free) but you still have to pay for the bloody thing over 1 2months unless you are speculating and again VERY RISKY I do wonder tho, if all credit got "called in" do people think there is more money circulating in the sky than actually money out there?

Credit card abuse and failed relationships here, by daz205 on Aug 27, 2008 0:37:03 GMT 1, interest free credit always makes sense to me, if i`m buying something and i get the option to keep the cash making interest or offset against my mortgage then i`m gonna take that option if it doesnt cost me anything, however i do wonder sometimes how much of our society/economy is based on provident loans at 100+% apr
