Visit SINGAPORE ๐ธ๐ฌ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by liquid8 on Mar 20, 2018 1:53:04 GMT 1, There's a street art exhibition at the Art Science Museum. To be honest I was quite disappointed with it, felt like the whole thing was put together just to promote the artists by the gallery that organized it, but still worth a look if you're in the area.
There's also another exhibition by teamlab at art science museum as well that I would recommend, great fun especially for kids. Marina Bay sands next door also has a piece teamlab.
The National Gallery is worth a visit too, unfortunately their main exhibition on impressionists art just ended and will probably be a whole before its replaced.
For galleries you can check out Gillman Barracks, it's a cluster of galleries and some public installations, including a mural by Felipe pantone

Visit SINGAPORE ๐ธ๐ฌ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by MLSOVT on Apr 15, 2022 8:47:57 GMT 1, Hi everyone, We're a little shop gallery thingy based in Singapore - we sell everything from Bast to Blu to Banksy. Sorry, both Blu are now sold...! Nonetheless what we love most is to promote the artists in Singapore. The city may be loaded, but we are poor culturally. The road to any kind of art career is restrictive and financially challenging. We want to do what we can to get them some kind of limelight, some encouragement to stay true to their visions. To have pieces at more shows around the world, and on your walls.
The city bans chewing gum. Disneyland with a death sentence. The cliches are true, the life is good, but the art suffers. The gallery is a meek push towards something better. Wish us luck!
For our very first show, Ai Weiwei has generously contributed 3 silkscreen masks, framed to his specifications - at 1000 Euros each - with ALL proceeds going to Amnesty International.
Download the entire catalogue here: link Other Artists include:
DM us for details. Follow us on instagram: link
Highlights:
Sheryo and Yok, SEARCHING FOR PSYCHEDELICS
JiHyun Kim, DIGRESS #3
Woon Tien Wei, RETURNING FROM EXERCISING
AI WEIWEI, MASK WITH MIDDLE FINGER (FRAMED)
Liu WenChao, Red Lantern
Ninjawhee, The Cauldron

Visit SINGAPORE ๐ธ๐ฌ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by MLSOVT on Apr 28, 2022 10:15:43 GMT 1, Hi everyone, Would like to introduce a promising young artist to the forum.
She's JiHyun Kim, Korean born, based in Singapore. Amazing eye, beautiful craft, intriguing, intimate imageries.
These are her early works, acrylic on paper, mounted on boards (foma/wood). Do share your thoughts and let us know if you'd like to purchase one (or two!) for your home.
First impression we got, was "very Gao Hang", but on second (and third) look, aside from the use of air brush and acrylic, her work is almost nothing like Gao's. She aims for photo-realism, with surprising perspective, quiet snapshots of culture, reality and stolen moments. It's not a play on low-res two d worlds, it's a play on the realities of our eyes and minds. Eye candies that are meditative yet pleasurable.
Email: help@mrlimsshopofvisualtreasures.com or PM for details etc.
thank you,
Lim
"Back" 2022, Acrylic on Paper (slight torn on edges) 62 x65, US$365
"Digress #3" Acyrlic on Paper (mounted on board) 51 x 47cm USD $300
GLANCE (CUT) GLANCE (CUTOUT) Acrylic on paper, mounted on wood. 51 x56cm EACH US$840
DIGRESS #1 and DIGRESS #2 (SOLD)
Ji hyun Kim plays around with images that she has captured from social media feeds, google image search, youtube thumbnails as well as her own collection of photographs through painting. She somehow treats images like possessions by which she is able to indulge, manipulate and peek however she wants to. At the same timeโbeing conscious of her gaze upon imagesโshe takes a slight distance as if to slip away the fact how she sees these subjects. From indulging into the subject of illusion to distorting it until it reveals the rawness of gestures, her indecisive attitude towards the images are reflected intactly on the paper surface. In her current practice, she attempts to encapsulate these images incorporating 3 dimensional surfaces through painting, as a way to make her gaze more tangible. For her art is a way to discover her unpolished, raw thoughts, which brings her catharsis whenever she has hit the right chord.

Visit SINGAPORE ๐ธ๐ฌ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by MLSOVT on May 12, 2022 6:31:39 GMT 1, Hello world! We are excited to introduce our latest artist - Atin Yeo. Half Thai, Half Singaporean Chinese, Atin's style oscillates between romantic dreamscapes to tense, vibrant, personal stories. Both of which stem from an intuition to escape and transcend the harsh, challenging circumstances that is his world right now.
We hope generate awareness and following for Atin Yeo, as we feel he is an amazing talent.
Singapore is awfully rich city, with a poor art scene. Young artists with unique counter mainstream visions and orientations, are rarely supported or promoted. It's just not a priority. We hope you disagree and support the Atin!
We have 3 paintings for sale right now. Let us know your thoughts and PM to buy!
"It means what it means" 2022, Oil on cotton, 76 cm x 101cm ยฃ650 (includes paypal fees and fedex shipping worldwide)
"Forget about this one for now" (2018) Oil on linen, 61 x 46cm ยฃ600 (Includes worldwide shipping and fees
"I like it cuz it's blue" 2019, Oil on cotton, 36 x 26 cm ยฃ350 (Includes fedex worldwide shipping and paypal fees)

Visit SINGAPORE ๐ธ๐ฌ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by MLSOVT on Jul 31, 2022 14:47:04 GMT 1, Hi all we would like to introduce a promise young artist from Singapore. Ninjawhee
Sarah Ninjawhee works primarily in the sculptural and multimedia formats. Through examining the fabric of society and the human condition, she explores notions of unspoken phenomena and intimacy. She is a graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts, where she won various awards, including the Winston Oh Travelogue Award. She most recently showed at I_S_L_A_N_D_S (Singapore) and TOMO Gallery (Kyoto).
The works available are highly eclectic - ranges from muted oil paintings to vibrant mixed media - the strong lines and determined spirit are the qualities clearly evident in her progression.

Please DM to enquire to purchase.
Please leave a comment on your thoughts. We would love to hear thoughts and feedback - they really really help!
