in terms of works on paper, signature on Warhol isn't that relevant, those with Estate stamps are considered unique, even if they are printed outside of editions. The Chairs are a good buy

Here are some pics from the auction. The work is much better than it appears in the online catalogue. There are also quite a few collage pieces which give a nice insight to why some of his things appear as they do and also a lot of unique colours of screens.very good to see. Photos are expensive for what they are in my opinion but again were really nice to see. Some nice canvas works if you have really deep deep pockets and some affordable ones if you just want an AW canvas These were taken on my BBerry with not enough care so apologies for the quality. Was not there for the photos and missed the start of the paintings but very few pieces were passed over. Almost all reached the lowere estimate and loads above estimate. With some big prices for pieces. The prints section did really well. Thought I might even have a dabble if there were a few bargains but not a chance at this one.
Lots of action in the room ( not packed but busy), loads on phone and internet. Some serious collectors and galleries from all over the world who made multiple purchases

You seem to be right as the only one I had been considering ("Sitting Bull") was well bidded and ended up much higher than my target ;-( $40K inclusive of fees, which is >> the $25K reached at the last 2 auctions...
