Morning Print, by Masong on Jan 20, 2018 13:31:09 GMT 1, Iโve found in one of my many tubes a Warhol Museum Of Modern Art New York poster from 1990 Itโs 100x70cm. It has copyright 1988 written in small writing but the main image says 1990. Just wanted to know anything about it, if itโs rare and worth anything? Regardless I think it deserves a spot on the wall and not in a tube. Thanks in advance. M

Iโve had it about 15 years and has been tubed since Iโve owned it. I bought a few posters and this was one of them. I never had it framed as I need the wall space which is a shame as I do like it.

Does anyone know what this guy is doing on the warhols. Assume he is buying commercial lithos then weathering them and faking a signature.

Think the guy also had a bunch of fake andy warhol negatives too...
think there was an article once about pure evil who got a bunch of fakes, prolly the same guy selling on ebay to be fair

It looks like he's getting Sunday B Morning screenprints, erasing or bleaching off the "Sunday B./Fill In Your Own Signature," stamps in back, and adding his own stamps and signatures.

This scammer's pretty active. A few weeks' ago I posted a warning in the other thread about him when he was selling fake Warhols and a fake Banksy street piece. Note that all of the fake Warhol prints that he was selling are readily available as relatively inexpensive Sunday B Morning silkscreens, which fits in with KGR's theory that he's just modifying WCP and other repro's to pass them off as authentic.
Edit: his other ebay username (that I know of) is bleca-meca and can be traced directly to the user who scammed Pure Evil. I wonder if he's monitoring this forum, and that's why he switched to a new account after getting called out last month?

WCP has just taken out one of the steps for him to reproduce the artwork... Im sure he would have screenprinted his own ones eventually.

In the cheapest price range you could find an original poster but that would be around $500-700 unsigned. As a general rule if you find a Warhol that cheap it is fake, unless you have a time machine and you buy them in the 80s in which case, maybe.

Other editions (Bluegrass, museums ....) have no value even plate signed.
