what other things have you collected?, by Deleted on Jun 27, 2008 10:39:57 GMT 1, I've only really collected a couple of things before(if you dont include music) both when i was a kid. Lions and Football stickers, the later being an obsession which ended me in trouble for spending too much of my mums money without her permision(i was 9). in fact when she realised what had been going she ripped the just completed book up and threw it away. i had a carrier bag full of swaps maybe 300 which i was prepared to swap for the last elusive sticker, they must have only printed a few of that particular player , because everyone in the school was collecting these things and we just couldnt find one between us.
anyway so wondered what anyone else has been into over the years.

I can still remember the smell of the chewing gum you got in every pack!

and that rubbish chewing gum was a bad situation back then.
Up the road (wet soggy Scotland to you..) I remember doing
something similar with a pocket full of cards and 10 John Warks
- wondering wtf is John Wark - why does everyone have a John Wark card. It was normal everyone had them... (football cards)
Anyway yeah - if it wasn't the uk cards which were mighty popular it was the equivalent (stickers) when the world cup came around.
panini have a lot to answer for....

Temp tattoos : For a while a local shop sold chewing gum with tatoos, I had about 200. 
Comics : Quite a few, though selling off some to make room

Like with art - a lot don't get listened, worn, framed - it's just part of the nerdy collector gene that most blokes seem to have!

Not just any type of rocks/stones, he filled his pockets with gravel everyday on his way home from school. Hah. I even think it resulted in a damaged washing machine!

Northern lights, the original Super skunk. red beard, all the old skool ones, will smoke em all up one day but for now i carry on collecting.
