I'm glad you like the site, i beleive that one must legally sell an item at the price it states. For this reason pricing is often left out so that the galleries not caught out, if a artist hits big over night.
i know no Dface or nick walkers, i'm working on it.

Buy a great print, before the gallery send it the price of print goes through the roof, the gallery realises it stands to lose a packet by selling me something for a couple of hundred quid and now is worth about 1000 quid. The gallery never send it to me. After about 1 month I ask them what the hell is happening and they spin a yarn that the print got lost in transit but, and here's the little miracle, they have lost the tracking number so I can't chase the print down. After a few weeks i get worn numb by the bullshit and just freakin give up....

Is sub cultural art what you want to say, as in beneath culture, or do you mean sub-culture art???
And whilst I'm being really picky...can you say a Damien Hirst Artwork... shouldn't it be a piece of art by...or win artwork by...just sounds weird the way you've phrased it.

No, this is incorrect. The pricing of an item advertised for sale is an 'invitation to treat', not an offer.
In cases where items are put on sale with a price attached, the prospective buyer is 'invited to treat', then makes an offer to buy which the seller is free to accept or reject as he sees fit.
Search for 'invitation to treat', it's basic contract law.

Nacional i had a similer exsperience with an early micallef print, Mainly why i dont give the price now. if someone wants something. they want it and showing your interest by asking the price isnt an issue. Also those details that irritate you so bad, please put them in an email to info@thestateofart.co.uk and i''ll correct them, i do appreciate them being brought to light, cheers.
