I don't know a great deal about him/his work so don't have enough knowledge of him to be able to spot whatever clues there are. Is the 243 thing in the face something to do with it?
Only thing that looked Neate-like to me was the sig (so until I read this thread I just reckoned it was the most rubbish Neate I'd ever seen).

I got an email this morning from Adam which said it wasn't by him, but it is by Dave the Chimp.
Seems someone has swapped Dave some bananas or biscuits for this then added the signature. (Not saying this was the seller as they may have found it like this on the street)
I've also mailed the seller.

"It was give to me from Dave the Chimp, you are correct. But based on signature to me it looks like an Adam Neate, If it is a fake signature I am very gut but I go for ebay and remove it"
Doesn't sound like English is her first language and she looks like she's misunderstood my question as a consequence (thus apparently dropping herself in it) as I didn't say anything about it being fake and certainly nothing about her having got it off DTC. Interesting.

Dave the Chimp was giving these out in a tombola at Open Studio in exchange for either 2 biscuits or a banana.
I paid well over the odds for mine by paying in bananas.
I didn't realise until it was pointed out to me that the Christmas Tree actually spells out 'Chimp' (if you tilt your head to the side).
