Banksy US morons, what do you make of this one?, by dave313perry on Jun 24, 2007 15:18:23 GMT 1, i saw this one earlier. just read through all the jibber jabber and basically i havnt got a clue!?!?!
reasons i would be dubious are that the print itself is infact so easy to replicate that anyone could have printed this, although the paper is a little more difficult to source but still easily do-able! and without the embossed stamp/ signature and the fact that its stuck onto a box all detracts from the value IMO If it is the genuine article then its probably worth a few hundred just for a talking point!
I suppose research wise you can...call the handmade paper mill in somerset that makes the paper and see if they can confirm the box that its stuck onto is the packaging they send out the paper in, and ask any of our american friends if they saw these boxes lying around when the prints were being sold??
In short though we will never know? but for me it has no value/ no signature just an iconic image which is sure to be replicated a thousand times over/ in which this will undoubtably sit within, without conclusive provenance!

Banksy US morons, what do you make of this one?, by Pattycakes on Jun 24, 2007 15:22:01 GMT 1, Studio floor crap, am sure it's right but it's basically something they intended to throw out, and far from good condition. Who ever buys that really is a moron.

Banksy US morons, what do you make of this one?, by mcnuts on Jun 24, 2007 15:29:38 GMT 1, exactly. i dont doubt that it is real and maybe saved from a bin but it really has no value. Pay what you'd pay for a poster but that's it.

Banksy US morons, what do you make of this one?, by gilbaron on Jun 26, 2007 3:55:15 GMT 1, if a bit of tape makes a print 1/1 rather than 1/500 I'll be glad to sell forum members some magic 'one of a kind version tape'....
do you think he'll sell the trolleys with marker as a hand signed one off as well? because I've got loads of sharpies littering my office too.
