Trades for an original trad art piece?, by plymman on Jul 16, 2007 18:14:19 GMT 1, Now, this may not be the kind of thing some of you are into but I have an original piece by Washington Green artist Mark Spain (may be a bit mainstream for a lot of you folks?).
I loved it in my last (victorian) house but now I have a modern pad it doesn't sit right, as it stands its going to the local auction house's art and sculpture auction at the end of september with a guide of ยฃ1300 - ยฃ1800 but I have since found this site and wondered if anyone wanted to trade?
I'm looking for any swaps or trades you have to offer, it doesn't have to be at the above price, I'll settle for less if I like the piece.

It originally cost ยฃ800 and happy to accept trades from around that value. (I thought 800-1500 was a decent price increase until looking at bejoir's SBFO!!)

Its a sepia/terracota watercolour and charcoal head and shoulders piece, not the vettriano style stuff he's doing now

I have no idea why the pics didn't through, when I get home, I'll work out how to post the pics here and repost. As for what I'm looking for (thanks for asking - should have put it here in the first place!), I'm not too fussy but particularly keen on:
Any unsigned banksy print (but not flag)
Any Faile print from limited run (but not strange encounters or macbeth)
David Choe (forget the ยฃ200 initial price - would straight swap for framed city girl)
Small Xenz canvas
Guy Denning
Any combination of lesser value prints considered.
Oh and any Micallef at May's prices! ;-)
This has to be my most poorly executed post on any forum, my 3rd udate just to say what I should have included in the first! (4 by the time i include pics!)
