Best way to see if someone is an asshole is look at their previous posts and judge for yourself. It'll tell you a lot more than the respect system did.

I myself am glad it is gone, it will allow me to focus on the positive aspects of this site, like the art, the advice and the knowledge of others, rather than the "who negged me" crap.
Anyone who wants to know if someone is a stand up person, only need ask other members, there has been enough trading between members, and established friendships, so knowledge is there, its just a question of asking. Perhaps, as an extension, there could be a thread which will allow members to make comments about other members, based on trade and advice - this could be a useful tool for new members to use and work with. Its just a thought
