The Banksy Bargain Thread!, by robinbanks on Jan 5, 2008 11:15:45 GMT 1, Not really an exciting story but when I was a student in Manchester there was a little book shop on Oldham Street that had a few Banksy prints for sale for a while (all unsigned from what I can remember).
I fell in love with BME but couldn't really justify spending £40 on a poster. Anyway, they weren't exactly selling like hot cakes so I went back after my student loan cheque had cleared and they still had 2 left - one which had been mounted on a piece of foam board so I bought the other one ;D.
That was my absolute favourite image because I'd already seen it on the street - they also had Rude Copper, Have a Nice Day and a few others, all for the same price. I don't regret not buying the others though, because at the time the images didn't really mean that much to me - and I've always been a firm believer in buying what you love.
