The forum members are pretty active in their collecting and there seems to be news of blow out prices at auction every month. Yeah, it's in the millions of dollars but was wondering if a formal study was actually done.

Scene is growing though. Woostercollective had been doing this steadily for years, some break-out artists, the internet and truly global art collecting community, and some unbelievable PR & Marketing.
I think the fact that street art made it's way into the usually traditional auction houses is telling though. But that being said, there is an incredible difference when comparing the average street art screen print collector to the average street art original artwork collector.

Take into account sneaker/designer toy collectors(lot of cross over), a sh!t load of Japanease kids, handful of Americans with a splash of Europeans. I also think alot of collectors dont do the boards thing. Whether they know about them or not. Could be wrong. Demand is obviously higher then supply. I personally always tried to stay away of edition sizes 500 or more but in the case of Banksy and Micellef you can do a run of 1000 and the value will still hold if not increase. And yes there will always be fluxations in the market.
