Forum Glossary, by streetgirl on Oct 23, 2007 22:26:21 GMT 1, Just a thought, but is there anywhere on this site that indicates the following: How many posts = how many stars? What various markers next to threads mean? What if the markers are flashing? How to tell if a thread is locked? A list of all forum 'personnel'.
And perhaps a little glossary of terminology and what abbreviated prints stand for. e.g. SBFO - Shell Blood For Oil etc etc
I only ask because when I started all those er, months back, it took a while to get up to speed with all this and even now, I'm not entirely sure why some of the markers next to threads flash/spin around.
Just a thought. I'm bored, can you tell?

Silky - I've never seen one person love/use more emoticons than you on any forum/IM/Email in my entire life!

I have found when you send texts that its so easy for people to take whats your saying the wrong way. But just by adding a little smile, or wink can change the whole meaning ;D

I think its because they have more than X number of replies (I think its 30)

yes, when the thread spills over to a second page.
The stars are at 25 (1) 50 (2) 100 (3) 250 (4) 500 (5) 750 (6) 1000 (7) 1500 (8) 2000 (9) it appears 9 is the maximum as I'm still on 9 after over 5000 posts! ;D

Yeah, well done CBL ;D
The max is 9 stars but I can adjust the it in the future as more and more get up to the high thousands.

Ey? Silky shouldn't CBL have a large star for being the first 'forum veteran'. I think the man deserves a medal.
