Values, by Daniel Silk on Oct 23, 2007 22:27:04 GMT 1, Prices could be very volatile over the next few weeks if the Trolley Hunters is released Could make older print go up in values because of the boost in interest ;D or they could drop a little coz of people spending money on the new prints rather then older ones from ebay

Values, by Dead Elvis on Oct 23, 2007 22:33:50 GMT 1, $1600-$2000 USD for anything pre-2006, unsigned, is going to be about average. With the ever-increasing interest and a busy "auction-house" month, I'm surprised more of the older prints haven't come out of the shadows....

Values, by trowel on Oct 24, 2007 19:51:50 GMT 1, £6k is bonkers when you consider they've been going for around £2.5k on eBay in recent weeks.
Ironic how, as 50% of the Sepia Morons seem to have been flipped, it's the signed White Morons which has held its inflated value despite costing less originally - the edition being half the size of Sepia seems to have made a vital difference. Plus as Sepia was the first print on the Banksy page at the time, I guess it was the one the flippers went for.
Let that be a lesson to us all when the bunfight for Colour Trolleys starts!!

I totally agree but the image has struck a cord with the auctioneers for some reason, I wonder why?

What lesson?
If there is a coloured one and you are lucky enough to get a choice go for the one you like best.
I went for the Sepia morons and haven't regretted it for a second as I think the image suits the colour better

Very true. I discussed the popularity of this particular print with someone on another thread, and, as mentioned in this thread, "striking a chord with auctioneers", art buyers love being made fun of. I personally think that "Morons" is Banksy's most pivotal piece (although not his "best"), factoring in it's massive social comment, given the time it was released in relation to where he stands in his career as an artist (or anti-artist)...

I predict an increase in street art if such a crash occurs. Which it won't.
