Home Insurance, by Wiseblood on Oct 24, 2007 13:28:10 GMT 1, Breitling for Bentley GT Racing I tried one...felt- and looked- like a had a wagon wheel on my wrist.. what a beast!
It is a big watch, smallest out of the bentley models being a 44.8mm face as opposed to the other versions with the 48mm face, i have fairly big arms so it doesnt look out of place although i tried on the 6.75 and that was mahoosive, plus with it all being a bit chrome i thought it would be best left for wanna be gansters in the costa del

I'm not but a good mate of mine is. 50 of these Aerospaces were given to the F3 pilots in 2001. My mate still has his but when his mate moved Sqdns he was given a B1 and so I got the opportunty to aquire this. The guy that owned mine is quite famous in the RAF and now flys the Lancaster Bomber in the Battle of Britain Memorial Flights. Here's a pic of my watch in action !

Home Insurance, by danvnuk on Oct 24, 2007 13:43:20 GMT 1, urgh dont talk to me about watches.
I've got a Tag Heur, bought it when I was 20 so has served me well these past 14 years or so.
The battery packed in recently, so put it in a Jewellers in Hatton Garden....£40 for a battery change, as they have to send it to Switzerland, while Im there, the bezel is a bit scratched, can they sort it - yep another £40....this was over a month ago....
They rang me today and say "It's not the battery, Tag in Switzerland say it needs "A service" - That will be £180 now....oh, and could be another 56 days before I get it back.

Home Insurance, by njr911 on Oct 24, 2007 13:45:19 GMT 1, Very nice.... toyed with buying a navitimer top gun limited edition...not quite the authentic history yours has though. Very cool Surprised they arent issued with breitling emergency models though...
navitimers are lovely! Not seen any Military Energencies, I always like the Orbiter one they did though. You just know that my mates would set it off in the pub and get me a £30k fine though lol ! ;D

Tell them you don't want the service. They always say this to fleece the customer. Before my beautiful Tag Carrera 1964 re-edition (the limited edition one ) got stolen, the strap popped off. Tag said they needed to service it. Took it to Watches of Switzerland on Bond St. They said it definitely didn't need a service and repaired the thing on the spot for free. Took my Rolex in as well as I've had it 8 years now and said that it was probably due a service as it has never had one. The guy behind the counter says "Does it still keep time" Obvious answer is yes, so he matter of factly says, "Doesn't need a service then, save your money and buy another!" Was very happy with that.
