Havent bought any yet but probably Zurich, cheapest by miles, only have 2k left on my high risk items before i have to raise the contents cover of the house, but that was only another £30 for 10k so still cheaper

Home Insurance, by nickc on Oct 24, 2007 11:40:29 GMT 1, If it helps, I am on a Royal & Sun Alliance policy bought through Lloyds. They are nothing less than superb. You can specify specifics and ask for increased cover. I listed the Banksy's, a very expensive engagment ring and a couple of 3k watches. I got burgled in June (ripped the front door off the hinges so the types of locks didn't make a difference) The front door was repaired within 2 hours of calling them, the tv, stereo etc was replaced new for old within a week and the watch was paid up for within 10 days. All in it's about £600 a year and that's for a victorian conversion flat in North London. Lucky, the idiots breaking in didn't think the prints were worth taking!

Home Insurance, by redfred on Oct 24, 2007 11:46:39 GMT 1, Ime in Teesside and insured for qute a bit more than you are being quoted on and my premium is around £400, go online and try a quote with Directline, I was very pleased compared with what I had been paying, the only drawback with contents insurance was that you are only covered up to a max. of £1500 per item on the normal policy. Have recommended them to a few mates and they have all been pleased.
