Tru Vue glass, by bobbymeachamjr on Oct 18, 2007 17:36:59 GMT 1, Well worth it if you're talking about serious preservation of your valuable pieces. I have work framed in true vue glass and plexi. Both very expensive but the latter - the museum true vue plexi is out of this world price wise. Most of these are originals and have very high value - to me personally and/or market wise.
For work of "less value" (this is of course subjective!) I would not consider true vue plexi but use acrylite instead. Glass I almost always use true vue but my budget is not as strapped

Tru Vue glass, by lesbianwednesdays on Oct 18, 2007 19:28:52 GMT 1, i always use true vue, last time out i treated myself to musuem glass - cost a bomb but is near invisible, no reflections but not cloudy like 'non-reflective glass usually is.
the standard uv stuff is only a few quid more than normal glass, the expense is usually in the framing and the labour. lots of varying opinion on uv glass but remember that absolutely every kind of light contains uv rays, natural, direct and artificial. so if you don't want it to age artificially quickly then i'd recommend you get it.
there are plenty of articles about that can shed more light (geddit?) on it if you need. (sorry).

Tru Vue glass, by Zippy on Oct 18, 2007 21:56:16 GMT 1, my local framer to work always doubles the price of the framing when I ask her to quote museum/tru vue. So i normally go UV only. Z

Tru Vue glass, by RetroCanvas on Oct 18, 2007 23:39:47 GMT 1, I'll be using Pricelis to do some bespoke framing of my signed gangsta rat very soon. Just finishing off the design for it.
I wouldn't use anyone else.

my adam neate PWG was only a little larger than that, in a white box frame and cotton/rag mount board and that came in at just shy of ยฃ370.
