Bargains - Let Me Tell & Show You, by Harveyn on Oct 19, 2007 7:53:39 GMT 1, Okay so their has been a lot of chat about the price drop of the art we all buy. There is of course an upside to this which is bargains that can be potentially had. This has also been mentioned in several threads.
So I thought it might be nice for people to share details of the bargains they have had in the last month or so. Lets bring a little bit of the "feel Good factor" back into our lives......... ;D ;D ;D ;D
I will post details and pictures of one of mine later when I get it back from the framers.

And I have no clue what J&Js are going for atm, jam. Mine also might make a some people shy off as the very part of the bottom part of the POW stamp didn't make it onto the paper (just the outside line of the outer circle). It measures 70x50 so obviously wasn't chopped. They did it on the lower right hand side on some of those and it looks like they aimed not to hit the blue. Their aim was too good I suppose.

My J and J unsigned had a slight discoloration in the ink on the left hand side (a print mistake but hardly noticable and kinda unique) and I purchased it for £550. One of my favorites, so im very happy.

i wouldn't worry about that J. here's Steph's comment (and thread) about how it happened on quite a few different prints:
If the emboss encroached onto the print area I would often only put half the stamp on... this was particularly true for the "I fought the Law" print. I can only comment on the prints produced during my time, but that is quite a few! I hope this helps.... Steph x

As for bargains I think the Deep End I picked up on the bay for £1550 was a good price. I also got the Swoon Medusa print for £22 a couple of weeks ago and an invader homeworks for less than cost price
