print damaged by post office!, by gordy on Oct 20, 2007 10:02:32 GMT 1, I have recently had a print damaged by the post office in delivery. They are refusing to pay for damage as they say it was packed incorrectly(which is bollox!) Has anybody had this trouble before? what happened etc....
Is there other couriers that anybody uses as I am loathed to use them again if possible?
any info would be great?

The post office are fucking awful, I never use them unless I send abroad where I have no choice. But I lost £600 from something I sold a couple of months ago, it was damaged en route to America but they say it's my fault. Twats!
For the UK I use Business Post, but I have an account with them otherwise it's very pricey... I don't think I'd send anything valuable abroad again

print damaged by post office!, by gordy on Oct 20, 2007 10:42:09 GMT 1, Cheers Mike! I expected as much to be honest.
The tube has a big f##k off dint in one end but that didn't cause the print to be damaged at that end!!!!!!!!! no it was because the print has slipped in the tube even though it was wrapped twice in brown paper with padding at both ends including bubble wrap. Obviously while they were on strike they wanted to play javelin with my print!!!
Luckily only £250 but this is still alot of money for me!
I wonder how much POW and galleries must have to write off thanks to the post office...bring on privatisation!!
Is their a watchdog etc...for complaints?
