Drunk on our own boredom, by hendrix on Oct 13, 2007 17:26:28 GMT 1, hooooooooo can someone post a good thread, not having a go at any of the threads on here cause I have got 3 running at the moment. I just think everyone's kind off on tenterhooks about the new Banksy print and nothing seems to be going on. Lets get some new threads going to replace the current top 10 that have been hanging on in here for what seems like forever.

right, you win the lottery tonight but it's a sh*t one, say you get, i don't know, only £900K-£1million? what would you do?
first purchase:
biggest extravagance:
pay off the mortgage/buy a bigger house:
donate how much/to whom:
how to make it last the rest of your life:
how much to which family members:
it's one way of killing time, if that's what you wanted? if it is an art related discussion then perhaps you could be a bit more specific as to what floats your boat/what bothers/troubles you?
personally, re: lottery etc, i'd pay my mortgage off and buy a nice car, a beemer perhaps, not a p*nis extension. the rest would just sit in a high interest account and i would just dish out the interest here and there. one month to a certain charity, the other to my brother/sister's. you could have years of helping others, plus i would want to earn a living, it's what gives you a purpose in life. nice to have the mortgage gone and enjoy your wages that bit more without being greedy and cutting off your circle of friends.
if i've missed the point just ignore that last bit .

Drunk on our own boredom, by themightyreds on Oct 13, 2007 17:59:20 GMT 1, Easy!
first purchase: holiday - 2 weeks in the sun
biggest extravagance: art - all those wish-list prints + framing!
pay off the mortgage/buy a bigger house: buy a slightly bigger house in same area with no mortgage
donate how much/to whom: random amounts to non-profiteering charities
how to make it last the rest of your life: keep your job so you don't spend all day spending it!
how much to which family members: half to my better half!
