Will banksy stop making prints ?, by lesbianwednesdays on Oct 13, 2007 22:36:43 GMT 1, no, just stop making them 'affordable' via POW. LAZ only after the remaining LA editions, hence the 'sale' ends today (with the sale of that print).
this game is now a business, a commodity. the naivity and fun that made it what it was has been usurped by capitalist consumerism. get them out, get them sold and go f*ck jude law. i think we all know which side his bread is buttered on?

Like Barbara Striesand scenario £500+ tickets, everyone though $&£k-Off! Cheeky cow *please dont think I like her I just remember a big fuss* It kinda goes against the grain of what he is all about i think,
Perhaps he will stop the prints? He might concentrate on sculpture or summat? Look at the beautifull 'Ballerina Girl with Action-Man parts'....OK he might not of cast it himself or whatever(Though he doesnt pull the prints himself),but its pure brilliant Banksy none the less.

Why would someone stop when they generate so much cash?
I imagine Banksy has a ton of cash himself already but when did that ever stop anyone, esp. those around him, from wanting to make more? No sense in stopping making them while we're still buying them...
maybe thats how it'll all end up, with loads of unsold Banksy prints sitting there on the PoW site waiting to be sold at £50 a pop!! 
I can't see the prints stopping anytime soon. Why would someone stop when they generate so much cash? In he grand scheme of things he's only been around fro two minutes and I expect he has plenty more stunts to pull .The bigger the stunt the more money you need. Also who knows what he's doing with the cash, as a political activist he might be funding all kind of projects.

I think we will still see Banksy pow, but probably coupled with Banksy LAZ as well.

Thats what I reckon, Banksy will always release something from POW, but i reckon we will begin to see small edition £10k+ prints from Laz

I don't know, I bet that if he stopped making prints that it will help fade out the hysteria. It's these POW releases that get's everyone worked up. We now have about 100,000 people F5ing all month for friggin 1000? Trolley prints this month. And then if they lose they're so worked up about it that many will pay any price on ebay because they've been so hyped up about the print. If there wasn't this "win the lottery" effect with Banksy prints I think a lot of people wouldn't bother with it all and they wouldn't get caught up in all the hype because of it. It just works everyone up and I hate it.

It was before the market went mad but its a buisiness at the end of the day. I'd be happy to get the next signed print for £650. Its more affordable than ebay.
