SWING LOW..., by paulx01 on Oct 13, 2007 23:00:46 GMT 1, May be likely to get a better price on the day(?) - just a single ticket went for £2750 (also depends who wins tomorrow) - may free up more tickets. Plus may be check availability of travel tickets etc. Awesome result ...

Good idea, ideally I'd like to get one over here first, but if not over there will do if I can find the cash
Chunnel is booked though so it really depends... but if the Argies go through there may be some more available than if it's SA...

SWING LOW..., by Harveyn on Oct 14, 2007 8:37:48 GMT 1, Unbelievable.....made my night.
It was only a few weeks back I was sat in a small rural French village called Duras (I was over to watch Ireland not play Rugby) watching England get stuffed by SA. Quite a sight, a bunch of Irish blokes cheering England as the French cheered SA.
Well done guys...can't wait for the final.

there with be more argies there than south africans if the argies get through. But either way, no tickets will be freed up, lets face it, if you had one and it was france v south africa, you would probably still go. Its still a world cup final, a life experience that few sports fans get.
It always seems strange to me why they dont sell the tickets for the final after the semi finals, or at least some of them. The problem with major sporting events like that is the sponsers all get a load of tickets, players families, visiting 'dignitries' (im sure gordon brown has snagged 50 tickets for MP's who want to go) prince harry and his hang ons wont have to miss out, thats for damn sure, a massive section of the stadium is taken up by commontators and journo's, there will be people who have corperate tickets for every game at that stadium, just like at wembly, so when all is said and done, there will be about 40,000 people who have paid to be there, probably 20,000 french and the rest of the nations split evenly.
Most of the brits there will be eaton old boys with the right contacts. Its a shame mike, but you are probably best off watching it from home, you wont be able to get a hotel either. Usually when everywhere is full you can bite the bullet and go upmarket, get a suite at the ritz for £2000 a night if you have to, but they are the first to go when the rugby fans are in town!

Yeh, kick us while we're down why don't ya! Well done the Poms though. That try at the beginning was a cracka. Way too much kicking throughout the game though. Have a run for fuck sake!
Allez Les Blanc!
