New artists..., by funster on Oct 5, 2007 21:58:39 GMT 1, Over the past few weeks I've found something even more fun than buying Banksy/Neate etc... buying stuff from artists never featured on this forum! The only problem I've got is knowing where to find new talent - has anyone got any suggestions? Thanks ;D

New artists..., by Deleted on Oct 5, 2007 23:09:13 GMT 1, Finding a new artist that you love is so fun. Here is an example of a way I found a few artists.....
....I Googled 'Guy Denning' and looked at Google Images....Stumbled accross this neomodern site with a few other artists....
guydenning.org/neomodern/artist_menu.htm
....If you go to David Cobley's site, for example, there are links to many other artists...
www.davidcobley.co.uk/links.htm#artists
So just keep linking. There are tons and tons of artists web pages out there that you are only going to find by doing this.
Goof Luck!
EDIT: If you google an artist, have a look at as many pages as possible. They may belong to groups affiliated with other artists. Check google images aswell - that often throws up some interesting sites.

New artists..., by runningdog on Oct 5, 2007 23:15:37 GMT 1, I could knock up some limited prints of my Running Dog avatar if you want. Run of 100, signed and numbered, inkjet printed on 100gsm A4 recycled stock, ยฃ50 each, in 5 years it'll look like a steal.

Seeing as I posted this link, have you seen the artists on this site:
Guy Denning Anthony Micallef Ian Francis Juno Doran (Mentioned as a British artist to invest in on another thread)
Make sure you read the 'Intro' and the'new critical aesthetic'. Vey interesting and exciting. Well, it is for me.
