one tip - do not eat anything cold / salad etc...
do stay in the medina
don't bother with the new town
..

Morocco, by baracass on Oct 3, 2007 16:07:49 GMT 1, I can't give specific details but a good mate went recently, around last Easter, and they hired quad bikes on a tour that takes you on a circuit out into the desert where you stop at little villages along the way. I'd get more info for you but he's somewhere in South-East Asia a long way from email. Pretty sure it was just a one day thing. I'm thinking of doing the same thing early next year.

Morocco, by paulx01 on Oct 3, 2007 20:38:27 GMT 1, Over there in the summer - amazing place. Medina is awesome. Pick up a map from wherever you stay and get bearings / directions from the main roads. Eat locally if possible - out on the streets - keep it hot though! Food is yummy. Choose some of the highlights: palaces, gardens etc. Use mini-taxi's if need to but negotiate the price beforehand (divide by 2 at least!). Keep change for tipping - frequently - when given info by locals. Exchange rate tends to be the same at hotels and banks. Plenty of sweet mint tea. Fez in the north is not to be missed if you are travelling ... the medina there is something else! Have fun!
