Bloody good art 75p, by slowmo on Oct 4, 2007 12:59:55 GMT 1, Not sure how everyone is set for this weekend. But those of you who love art of the more classic variety as well, the Courtauld are launching their 75th anniversary celebrations this weekend.
If you fancy seeing some of the best work from the likes of Matisse, Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, Gaugain, Rembrandt, Reubens, Cezanne, Kandinsky etc etc etc, (pardon the spelling on a couple of those), in a really nice building (somerset house) then you can do a lot worse than getting yourself down there on Saturday, when it will cost just 75p for entry.
My wife works for them and I can honestly say its one of the most amazing collections of art in the world. Well worth a visit and you can get incredibly close to all the work. Sounds like an advert, but if you go, you will love it.

Bloody good art 75p, by andrewd on Oct 4, 2007 16:00:17 GMT 1, Anyone else old enough to remember when the Courtauld was off Tottenham Court Road in the UCL campus next to the SOAS building. It was amazing you could visiy and there was absolutely no one else there! Think I'll give it a go on Saturday.
