Proper gloves to handle the crown jewels?, by sausageboonwee on Sept 27, 2007 7:43:15 GMT 1, I use tan, string-back driving gloves for the delicate ones and a pair of weighty, elbow-length gauntlets for the ones with sharp edges.

Proper gloves to handle the crown jewels?, by mydeaddogwontwoof on Sept 27, 2007 8:38:56 GMT 1, I use plain old rubber gloves when handling my crown jewels, & a little tip, if you put a rubber band round your wrist till your hand goes numb, it feels like someone else is handling them.

Proper gloves to handle the crown jewels?, by danvnuk on Sept 27, 2007 10:59:31 GMT 1, No Gloves needed. Just make sure to liberally apply some form of lubrication before handling your crown jewels......Tabasco sauce is ideal.
And make sure to wash your hands apres handling ;D

Proper gloves to handle the crown jewels?, by danvnuk on Sept 27, 2007 11:04:42 GMT 1, on second thoughts....cotton gloves?!!!....
I normally handle my prints in my sterile UV room (to destroy harmful bacteria and the like) - I wear a full body Level 4 Pathogen resistant bodysuit - and a fire retardent one piece leotard underneath. Takes 10 mins or so to cycle through the airlock - but you know...it's worth it to handle those prints.
Some people think it's going a bit far, but I always remind them - everyone knows the Commies are trying to pollute our essence through flouridation of the water.

Proper gloves to handle the crown jewels?, by pezlow on Sept 27, 2007 11:17:48 GMT 1, I am never buying a print off you danvnuk. The only way to handle prints, as surely everyone knows, is in a complete vacuum. I find that to remove grease from my hands I wash with industrial strength swarfega for a minimum of one hour. They I do a quick dip in H2SO4 then on with the white cotton gloves, into the vacuum and handle away. I do not accept anything else when buying on the secondary market.
