Talking to him in line, discovered we were both on this here forum, so produced a tube with an A/P of his first screenprint in and gave it to me.
Only just had a chance to open and photo it now I am back in NY...
Nice provenance too -a $1 bill in the tube which he has noted the serial number of (no I didn't use it to tip my valet like I said I would ;D )
On a week with a display of how scummy the art world and people in general can be, here is a thumbs up for the nice guy

Ive been ironing out some technical stuff. All in all, Ive got 20 different prints in the works. Some are ready to print, a handfull in the works, and about 10 in concept stages. ... They will all be coming to a forum near you!
To keep things cRaZY, here are my print selling rules (for the first 10 prints anyway).
1. Edition size: 50 of each (with a few AP's)
2. I will only be promoting on banksy.info
3. Silky gets one free print for each edition (This forum is great, and its my way of saying thank you)
4. I will announce a new print online when its done.
5. Prints will be sold first come first served.
6. The first person to buy gets it for 1 Pound. Second buyer, 2 pounds. Third buyer 3 pounds... All the way up to fiftieth buyer at 50 pounds! Early buyers will be rewarded with better deals.
7. If you are a previous buyer, you can secure your edition number for 50 Pounds. (That assumes you are one of 50 buyers of the edition being sold, if it sells out before you buy, youre outta luck) Another reward for return buyers.***This offer only applies to the first week a print is for sale, since I will need to ship out prints promptly***
8. Shipping will be billed at cost.
9. If you sell your print on ebay or by other means (with proof), you get 50% off your next order.
10. All prints will come with a US $1 bill. I record all serial numbers with each print. Im thinking about posting all serial numbers on the web. Keep your dollar with your print, it proves its real. Faking money is tough, plus you'll get your ass thrown in jail if you get caught!

I love seeing anything I create out in public. Seeing it for sale on the secondhand market follows that same desire. Not only did the original buyer think it was worth money, someone else does! It does however create a double edged sword for the owner... do you sell to buy another or do you just buy? Id like to keep the costs down, so selling to fund a new print wouldnt be an issue. I also like the idea of using the secondhand market as a way to promote (like CR mentioned above... he gets it)
As for showing any up and coming pieces, Ill hold off on doing that. The first official print will be a larger version of my Wii piece. It will be printed on Rives acid free cotton rag paper. Paper size will be 19x26 inches. I think it will be 3 color. My first attempt was 4 color but Im not liking it.

On the second print, you could make your request anytime... lets say number 23. You could pay 23 to get your second print (#23), or since youre a repeat customer, you could pay 50 and get number one (This applies to any number, 1 thru 50). I like having matching numbers! I hope that makes sense. It will be confusing for us all at first, but I still like the idea to show support to those who support me early on.
