A whistleblower told the Art Newspaper that 20 prints by the artist were put on the auction site a year ago without his permission by employees of Pictures on Walls, the firm that publishes his works on paper. Prices were then inflated by "shill bidding", in which accomplices of the seller place bogus bids. One print sold for £6,000.
