Chapeau.

Let us just enjoy the art, by Matt-lock on Sept 20, 2007 22:30:17 GMT 1, I just came from this show and I must say that seeing everything in person puts it all into new perspective. The sheer size of the paintings is incredible in and of itself. There was a piece titled, "NYC Traffic Lights, LAPD Cop Car, Winged Minotaur and a Hooker" where even the traffic light alone is amazing because of the lines and the depth he shows. The charcoal pieces have to be my favorite though. "Collateral Damage" was hands down the favorite of the show for me. Absolutely loved the show and made me even more of a Micallef fan.

Let us just enjoy the art, by slowmo on Sept 20, 2007 23:14:24 GMT 1, I read somewhere that when micallef was at Pymouth Uni (exeter strangely enough) he was taught that four strokes could be used to make a portrait, he clearly has taken this on board, they are so minimal, but convey a great depth, there is a face that almost erupts from the canvass, yet the detail is so minor

Thanks for posting the pics
I'm in agreement with Thwaites - I gotta get me some head ;D
I think they're probably my fave Micallef pieces (next to my JD of course!)
