But the art world is mad .The prices have to plateau at some point, reach their peak and then theyll crash , just like housing prices. I`m happy for the man and i hope he is getting loadsa money and enjoying life. But sometimes its the galleries that make the most profit. This chap on ebay, good luck to him. He bought cheap and is selling high, thats the way to do it.

Profits from eBay sales like this don't go to Banksy at all, however...

the ebay fees for that price will be less than ยฃ700. (fees decline exponentially with price). how much is christies commission? i guess that even ยฃ50k from christies would'nt have left him with much more in his pocket.
