before the days when he became camera shy, Richard Banks was happy to pose at a Playstation event!
quite clever how by increasing the mystery surrounding him, pulling off the odd stunt and raising the prices - they can now compare little Richard Banksy to Andy Warhol.... !!!

No, it's because he's a vandal, graffiti artists tend to not want their face in the paper. Unfortunately with Banksy, this has slowly evolved into an issue that's now about not being canon fodder for the likes of Hello magazine and the Daily hate.

it does sort of matter a bit as there would be no mystery to him if we all knew his favourite colour and where he goes for his fish and chips.
i always thought marco peirre-white was like this mysterious amazing rock and roll chef who never played by the rules. turns out after watching hell's kitchen for the last two weeks he is about as rock and roll as this guy:

If the camera lies than the well known and highly regarded photo agency must have their facts wrong - or they are deceiving the people who pay for rights to use their images.
I dont think they would do that for the sake of (then hardly known artist) Banksy, do you?
If he was invited to attend a Playstation event, then to a certain degree I would say he is endorsing it. Its not a casual picture in the crowd pic, hes posing....
