A quick hello!, by teatwosugars on Sept 11, 2007 21:56:28 GMT 1, After a nightmare house move and a hell of time getting a new phone line/internet access (I fuckin' hate BT!!!  ) I'm finally back online and can get back to this joyous place ;D
This is just a quick hello to all those who have left me pm's that I've not been able to reply to. I've spent the last few days reading through the last month's posts and looks like I've missed a few things that definitely need a comment-
FPR- Absolutely super dooper looper mate!  I love the print of the year awards idea and can see you've put a hell of a lot of effort into it already. Have a big plus from me. Hope the beer sponsor is coming along! 
Glad to see the Stella Dore opening went well. Congrat's. Sorry I missed it. Congrat's as well to brainthedog for the paypal comp win- love your prizes mate!
On a more sour note it's been disappointing to come back and find some of the regular members gone (namely Beej and Tom/LW). I know there's no point in commenting about it on here, but I'm sure I'll chat to some of you privately in the future about it.
Anyhow, better get on with reading past posts. Apologies for this pretty meaningless thread, but I've missed writing drivel! And for all of you doing the fantasy football (stuey, johnas etc), watch out as I've got more opportunity to sort my transfers out now (he says with stupid optimism)!!!!

I went through exactly the same thing recently in terms of moving house and being offline. BT were just a complete nightmare and I went without internet access for over three weeks. I worked out that I'd spent over 20 hours on the telephone mostly on hold in their queuing system.
They totally had me over a barrel because I rely so heavily on the internet at home for my job and my internet provider only goes through BT.
Can I suggest you make a complaint if you haven't already doing so?
I'm still following mine up with the resolution team who are considering a 'good will' payment for the third time after I turned down the first two. PM me if you want to discuss it.
Glad it's sorted for you now mate. I was 'pm'ing another member about being offline and saying you feel like your neglecting the forum in a way. Sounds a bit sad  but I have got a very active life outside of this place but I just enjoy my visits on the forum a great deal. It was especially nice to receive a couple of 'where are you?' pms. Well this is a longer, more rambling thread considering I just wanted to say welcome back! I'll shut up now.

Not too bad stuey. I was well chuffed with the result at Reading. A nine goal turn around since last year can't be bad! I was quite pleased to see The London Police website reference West Ham in their friends section- they've gone up in my estimation now!
I know it's said every year, but I really do think Liverpool are in with a great chance. I think they've made some great buys and I'll be interested to see how they do. Whatever happens, I think this is shaping up to be a very enjoyable season
Oh and coach- I'm pretty sure you can join the fantasy football at any time, just starting from zero points. It's worth doing as we're only 5 games in

It sounds like you and I have had a very similar experience with BT. I've actually written a letter of complaint and sent it off- it's very unlike me to do this, but I was just so amazed at how any business or service could be run as poorly as this. For a communications company I thought their communication was bloody awful!!! I'll keep you posted on how I get on and certainly contact you if I don't get anywhere.
On another note I loved reading the thread you started about best gig experiences. I've been having a think and will go and post mine later.
