It takes the title from the fact that Love is supreme...and that that state is the most supreme...even when it is platonic.

The figures are "over Jupiter" (as opposed to over the moon) and appear, simualtaneously, to be running "on top of the world".

There's an "angelic" appearance to the woman...and a golden glow to her...the same golden colours used in the male figure's face.

Her breasts bounce with the motion of movement...his body twisted in the action of running...both anticipating the joy of the union awaiting.

The green sky (or is it space?)...the purple earth (or is it Jupiter?) all add to the fantasy of the piece.

Details oF HIS eyes and nose show a quiet determination to secure the prize...and the openness of the piece lends itself to the works' sense of freedom...easily an apt subtitle.
