lift to laz , by mcnuts on Sept 16, 2007 21:08:03 GMT 1, ABC while your eyes are on this thread, you mind sayin a few words about lithos? I always think of them as 9pound soup can posters and never forked out the 4 grand to by the previous AMs. So with all of this talk about lithos being posters, what gives? Is the paper really that flimsy? It couldnt bet for that much cas one would hope!

lift to laz , by ABC on Sept 16, 2007 21:20:20 GMT 1, I know the process is used for modern day printing of Posters etc, but IMO it depends on who is doing the prints, I Laz uses the very best printers in town and the paper to match. It all depends on the photographic processes used and which type of plates used IE, flexible aluminum or plastic printing plates etc. I certainly don't mind anymore about the medium, I also used to think Silkscreen and nothing else but now I have Lithios, Silks and Giclees, they all have their own advantages. To make one thing clear, these will not be "Posters" they will be very nice quality prints (If you like the image) - I hope

and most good quality giclees cost alot more than a silk screen too! I like a giclee/screenprint mix personal but then I would say that! But I do think it works well with some subject matter.
