Sadly the archway piece 'anywhere' has been sprayed over with the name 'the inconsolables'. Its an electric punk band. I know graf art is transient and its inevitable but that was the only piece of happyness in Archway. I really feel like hitting the inconsolables next gig and splashing a bit of paint around. Not sure i should even be giving them the publicity but this is what they wanted ....

so an online attack could be launched!
send them messages on their myspace on their comment wall
along the lines of:
can't believe saturday's gig is cancelled
That track you played first last night, its a blatant rip off of ........
or even better, why doesnt someone pretend to be an A&R guy, and string them along a bit!

Perhaps it's one we can read, mourn over and sadly let go.
I'd imagine they've had more hits in the last couple of days than they ever could have dreamed of; certainly more than they deserve.
Maybe this thread should just slip away quietly, and hopefully the band will do the same?

My work collegue seemed to be pretty pissed off about it and made out that it was much worse than it was. Still, its not cool tagging over such an important piece of street art just for marketing purposes. I just hope they don't have any more more plans...
