i am involved in the commercial screenprint industry and visited these guys earlier today.
I can say that although they are a commercial printer, they have some excellent kit, and Ian there showed me some of the top quality work they can produce, Giclee print onto canvas, paper & board etc., and it is very good indeed. Apparently they are a beta tester for Canon printers.
If anyone needs a printing company for giclee, give these guys a go. They have been in digital printing for 20 years+.

I had a couple of photos blown up to A2 size by a printer/graphic designer in North London. I then mounted them in ubiquitous Habitat frames - they look great!!!
I think he usually prints out architectural mock-up designs for architects. Anyway he told me he can go up to A1 size and I think he said he can do them matt (as well as glossy) on a range of papers. And he was cheaper than other places I called!

Before I had a re-hang this was in my living room, taken from my 6 megapixel camera, slightly cropped and blown up slightly in photoshop, printed via inkjet and mouted on board and laminated. Finished size 1520mm X 940mm, it doesn't look very sharp when you're close up but you need to stand back from something this big anyway.

Thanks for that CBL  I have always wondered about that sort of thing, with so many photo shops offering to put your photos on to canvas now, I might give it a go ;D

Digital printing company, by doughy on Sept 5, 2007 15:12:47 GMT 1, Nice idea, use a high mp camera, you can do a blow-up of a certain section of perhaps a favourite piece and create your own hanging, like it! Any picture you want. Good tip there!
