Agree with you re Amy, her voice never ceases to cause a shiver. Either that or it's too cold to have the windows open.

mercury prize?, by dotdot on Sept 4, 2007 22:44:34 GMT 1, klaxonsh ? reminded me of ...hairstyles of .. a flockof seagulls voices - one similar to a young joe jackson... sound .... early eighties time warp - scary...
they won ? sad story
it was however like watching from way back.. top of the pops - almost eveything got ABUSE... .. good job it's only one once per year.

klaxons are shyte...absolute shyte...latest NME wonderkids I've thought about forming a band called "The Glowsticks", I have no musical ability, and cannot sing...I reckon I'll be on the cover of NME within a month ;D
Amy should have got it, or if the judges wanted to go for a slightly less well known artist, it should have been Bat for Lashes, or Fionn Regan

I don't like the Klaxons either. Amy should have one in my eyes.

totaly agree, they take a cheap crack at the other nominies with thier future statement yet they where so eighties it was worse than the flock of seagulls and kajagoogoo put together. every year this happens the mercury prize is a load of crap smacks of record companies giving a prize to a band that needs the promotion, Amy and the Arctic dont need the sales , they already up and running, if i was nominated i wouldnt go , the streets had the right idea. i hope this is a kiss of death and i never have to see or listen to the Kacksons again.
