Daytime TV, by a4mnt on Sept 5, 2007 11:45:03 GMT 1, I seemed to be spending more time looking round at women as they walked past than I did looking forward yesterday
I've got no want to be stuck in a tunnel all day, but was speaking to someone about the tube drivers jobs, free travel (wooh!) and £36k for sliding a lever backwards and forwards, and of course counselling when you run over someone, but more seriously, it sounds as if a lot of those jobs are quite cushy and therefore protected, ie kept within the union so you need to have mates inside the TGWU (is that right) to get the good jobs. They aint stupid.

Daytime TV, by a4mnt on Sept 5, 2007 12:28:29 GMT 1, Jonpud - if you live there, you know what P'boro is like. Isn't is full of provincial town violence on a Friday night? I used to live in Norfolk so PB was one of three cities in an hour radius - and its dodgy!

I used to live in Norfolk so PB was one of three cities in an hour radius - and its dodgy! LOL I visit Norfolk on a regular basis having a static van at Searles in Sunny Hunny, so I tend to go there on a Friday night to get away from the riots and general road congestion of burned out cars!!
Shit!! Have I just admitted owning a caravan in Hunstanton? Jeez is my cred gonna go down on here!! It does have a Banksy Napalm hanging in the living area, does that help me a little? LOL

Daytime TV, by a4mnt on Sept 5, 2007 12:44:25 GMT 1, Mate, I lived in Sunny Hunny for 10 years!
There is a small industrial area just before you get to the high school on the main road into town (coming from Heacham), there was a kitchen company with big signs down two walls of the unit. That was the family business. Not there any more as the folks have emigrated.
You have a banksy hanging in your caravan? I hope you have it insured!
I used to live in cottage a few doors down from Flemings garage. So my place was on the circuit where the boy racers would drive around the one way system around the big car park there. I always wanted to buy a chequered flag and wave it at them. In summer we would have days when we emptied all the furniture into the front garden and gawp at the holiday makers as they walked past. Freaked them right out when a whole load of locals are sitting in a tiny front garden with sofa, arm chair, bean bag, tv, everything in the open air!

Small world! Family have had a van on there for around 45 years now, since the days of gas lamps and cold midnight walks on wet grass to take a crap!!
To be honest it's nice to get down there to chill every now and then, plus my kids love it!
Can't say I remember the unit you are talking about but I do know the area you mean! And yes, I seriously have a Napalm hanging in the van (Unsigned!!) Signed one is at home. I will get some photo's next time I'm down there and post them!! LOL Normal contents insurance so guess I am taking a bit of a risk, not only theft but possible flooding!! ;D
