He doesn't owe anyone anything. He produces art. If people buy it then hey, if they don't, he's just a normal graffiti artists with a successful past.

He broke into America's art scene on a major scale, no mean feat, last one was Hirst, Banksy made their contemporary art scene look lame. Got noticed and went global. Lots of students now writing their BA, MA and PHD's on street art v's the Gallery system. Class ! sent shock waves through the auction houses and private galleries. People walking into a contemporary sales gallery and asking for Banksy, and the agent didn't have any. Well, he'd look like an idiot.
I heard that he's now taking a year out. We'll see.
All in all , 2006, Banksy went Global. A pretty good year IMO ;D

Agreed.. I think it would be mental, wooster have really soften things up. I think you can expect both Laz and POW to be over next year. I got the Nick Walker on wooster, 18 000 views !!!! and major Youtube awards for most viewed art & animation film. They have an incredible reach.

With the European Show at LeVine in NYC at the end of the year followed by Space Invader and DFace (and Titi Freak) the stage will be set.
Really was an amazing year for the chap (I said chap ;D)
