Off The Wall - A Book of Bristol Graffiti, by jellya on Aug 21, 2007 15:18:31 GMT 1, Some of you might be interested in a new book of Bristol graffiti. I picked it up last week after hearing about it on the local radio. It's got some nice shots of some of the well known and less well known graff in the city and the pics include Mr B, xenz, jago, nick walker, eelus, andy council.
I'm not involved with the book at all, but happy to promote as it's a local publishing house who've done it.
Pocket size, 64 pp, only £4.99 too ;D

I see some of the finest work on display in your pics,Nick Walker,Xenz and the brilliant Mr Jago but who did the M32 stencil...does it say?
I remember this topic coming about ages ago and to my knowledge nobody knew who did it,it's a great piece and been there a good time now.

The photographer for the book was interviewed on the radio and I definitely got the impression he wasn't aware of artist names, either that or he didin't want to reveal them.

I know the Pieces by Nick and Mr Jago are down on Wilder st ( I'm sure you know anyway)
The Banksy piece was put up after I left the sceptered Isle and headed down under,as for the MD m32 piece....as toyah once said....it's a mystery!

That bad copy last year was on canvas and was the real deal if im right. I Believe there was a small edition run on canvas from 2002/3.

About the year, I think you're right ABC. As I remember, the canvas version was available at the first LA show back in 2002.

The problem with the older canvases is that people dismiss them from the off without actually knowing to much about them. I'm sure Ive done the same for a few items and that someone has got a real bargain. Nowadays there too many beady eyes to get anything magical on the Banksy front for a steal.
Im sure as soon as the buyer looked at it in the flesh they would know if it was legit, not all of Mr B's works were executed in a perfect manner as you stated.
